Last month we asked for feedback from subscribers who had already completed the online registration for the Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA) and subscribers told us that the system is easy and clear.  Unfortunately there are many websites trying to cash in on unsuspecting travellers and charge for what is actually a free service.  If you follow this link https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/ it will take you directly to the ESTA website without having to trawl through 'hangers on'! Completion of the form becomes mandatory on January 12th, before that time Airlines may ask you to complete the form, but it is not required if you don't have the time.

You should apply for your ESTA more than 72 hours before you travel, and it will then last for all admitances for the next 2 years, or the length of your passport - which ever is shorter.  If you need further help with your ESTA, do give us a call as we do have a powerpoint presentation showing all the screens and questions you will be asked.
