Four More Insurance Co Increases
Owners Insurance Co., Auto-Owners Insurance Co. and Southern- Owners Insurance Co. all want to raise homeowner rates by an average of 24 percent statewide and condo rates by an average of 15 percent statewide. All three companies also want to reduce their rental insurance rates by 5.3 percent. Amex Assurance Co. wants to raise its homeowner’s rates by an average of 14.9 percent statewide.
The four companies filed their requests with state regulators April 6.
